we recently introduced the NetWeaver Business Client for HTML (NWBC), replacing a WedDynpro ABAP application which was the entry point to the applications providing a menu to the user. Let's call that application the home application. This home application had different component usages in order to call the embedded applications. In this embedded applications are plenty of ALV tables for which we created customized views (specific fields are displayed, sorting ...).
With NWBC we do not use the home application any longer, we just directly call the WebDynpro applications which where embedded into the home applications. The result is, that our customizing for all the ALV tables cannot be used any more.
I did some analysis on table WDY_CONF_USER and on the WD Application WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_USER. I also read the excellent blog Adaptation in Web Dynpro ABAP - In-depth analysis.
I understand now, that because of the component usages which were earlier used, the config IDs for our customizing settings are linking to the our old home application. So I think there is no other option as creating new customizing settings for the used tables. Is there are way to get at least the field list of the displayed fields of the old customizing settings as an overview? In WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_USER they are displayed as key value with a lot of other information.
