Metadata APIs

Hi all,

Are there any APIs( Classes/FMs) where I can get the metadata of the view as a XML in WD ABAP,

In WD Java we can see the metadata file of the view.I know WD ABAP stores all the view UILements,Layout info in ABAP tables.

I would like to know if there any APIs available around it that I can use to download the view metadata ?
